i was just wondering, how wide of a tire can u put on the stock alloy 16" wheels that the 97 se comes with.

Are the rims 6" or 6.5"?

The rims are 6.5", so a 215 is optimal width, but those are hard as #### to find in a 215/50/16 (which would be the closesest for the speedo).  IMHO, a 225 is just too wide for those rims (and a 205 is a bit narrow).  Ugh!
