Little update, car is at the shop getting the cage done. Will have a bigger update once it's completed.

Some pics of the cage in progress from a couple days ago. If all goes well, the cage should be finished tomorrow.
I'm super stoked about it haha!

Picked up the car today, cage is dope as hell. Really, really happy with the work he's done. Racetech Motorsports in Portland OR, highly recommend them.
Got her home and painted the cage, tomorrow we fit the dash and get everything back in. Wiring is next, then fuel, trans/clutch driveshaft, then saftey gear and wheels. Lets get this show on the road!

We installed the framework for the fuel cell yesterday and today I got the new windshield installed.
My list of parts isn't really that big, just the parts are spendy lol. More updates coming soon.

Kinda stalled up a bit over the summer(working on a tv show creates problems between seasons).
Picked up a few more sponsors, wiring harness came in, turbo came in, 5 lug stuff is coming as well. I'm running out of room for stickers fast lol. Coming this week is the fuel stuff, 5 lug stuff, and looking for some wheels right now. Hopefully this thread will get it's much needed update soon.

Wiring has started, the chassis harness is a keep it clean harness.
Tail lights, turn signals and brake lights wired: I'm so happy with the way this is turning out, huge thanks to Fiend Performance!

Been a long while...
I've had somethings happen in life to make this slow going for the past year. I've been a Technical Director on NBC's Grimm for two years now. I've just landed a Technical Artist job at Suckerpunch Productions and I am in the process of moving to the Seattle area. Working on the car has been slow going while I get all the new shit together: Wiring coming along: Ebrake re-done: Got the forsaken key-lock cylinder off: AND FINALLY, got the damn R154 trans, fresh rebuild: I am waiting on the clutch and bellhousing to get here, then the motor finally goes in for good. The turbo is here waiting for the day to get installed with the wastegate as well. After the motor goes in, it'll be towed up to the new house up north. Happy new year folks!

seems like your in the same boat I've been in lately. New job, moving, life...
glad your keeping with it tho, and not turning around and selling it. That actually really is up lifting to see that. How's the chassis harness going? that's been my biggest hurdle thus far. I really wish I had gone your route with the keep it clean harness. |
