TDC On KA24e
I believe I’m having timing issues on my KA24e w a single cam. I’m trying to install a new distributor as the other one was toast. I’ve seen videos on how to get top down center on dual cam KAs but barely anything on the single cam variant, do you guys have any tips or procedures? The engine almost wants to run but it’s not running :/

Its the same... pull pug, put long screw driver in hole, turn crank till its all the way up and air is pushing out the top. And the highest the screw driver goes.Thats compression stroke and tdc. Look for timing mark on crank pulley

Appreciate it and just to clarify stick the screw driver in cylinder #1 rifht? I eyeballed the first cylinder last time to find TDC so I thought I did something wrong. I also don’t have any timing knotches on my pulley for some reason I see the pointer but no markings

is it the factory pulley? if so, get in there with a toothbrush and scrub it up. the markings are just little notches and its easy for them to get covered up with grime and gunk,
