Kicking up sand sound from front pass. side?
Anyone know what this is? It sounds just like when you drive over sand and it gets kicked up, but this sound occurs during everyday driving on paved roads, coming only from the front passenger side around where the wheel is. I actually havent been anywhere sandy or gravel"y" in quite some time. Then I heard this weird grind like noise coming from the same area. Any help is appreciated. Car is a 91 coupe. Bone stock.

Wheel bearing? Jack it up and feel for play in the bearing and listen for grinding or groaning as the wheel turns.

As stupid as this may sound, make sure your caliper isn't missing a bolt and rubbing against the inside of the rim. When I bought my first S13, i heard that noise all the way from the seller's house to my place (only 1/2 mile, thank god) and sure enough, I got it home, took the passenger side tire off and the caliper was missing a retaining bolt.
