This was when I picked her up. (after a huge story of a guy in KY named Dino Crnk or some shit like that screwing me over for a 240 that had A LOT of problems. Its been an uphill battle for sure.)

I then decided to start doing the sanding down for a flat black spray can paint job.

Started to run out of black paint so I got creative with the design.

This was how the engine looked the day I bought it. I was happy but the car had a laundry list of problems that I have addressed over the past 4 years.

This was the interior at the date of purchase.

The original Origin Lab front bumper was made of cheap fiberglass that broke on the drive from KY to NM. This was the damage the day after I got home.

I continued more on the hood.

Going down the side of the car

To the back of the car (I realize we should have just taken out the tail lights.)

Sorry for those bad quality pics, at this time cell phone cameras were not that good haha.

I continued to do more painting. I didnt like the car being multiple colors and even to this day I have yet to afford a paint job.

The day after I finished my paint job it so happened to rain and I took advantage of it to do wet sanding and then snapped these pics.

I then cleaned up this carbon fiber piece in the engine bay.

Did an oil change and topped the fluids off. I was gonna go cruising it for the first time since buying it.

At this point in time I barely got the car back on the road after a horrendous road trip from Kentucky. As I left KY the turbo fell off the manifold on the highway and I was towed to Tennessee. There I was charged 400 dollars to repair the turbo. I got back on the road (with open downpipe and no exhaust blowing fumes into the car. I was baked most of the drive from exhaust fumes.) It then broke down close to home in TX. I had no idea what the problem was and decided to get towed. My dad ended up driving from NM into TX to tow the car home. I spent the night in a bucket racing seat outside of an IHop. Overall the trip cost me over 1,000 dollars and serious headache.

I ended up getting the car repaired (the ignition wiring had a tear in it) and the pic I posted last was right before she drove for a while.

During the initial driving I found out the owner put an awesome ebay knockoff seat in which broke.

And this was the totally not matching anything passenger seat.

S14 rear seats

Here I was trying to figure out the wack ass seat belts the previous owner installed.

So I continued to drive it and have a blast until something new crippled the beast and I had to park it until I could figure out what was wrong with it. I have never been a mechanic until owning this car. Upon owning this car I learned how to be a mechanic. By the end of this build I learned so much and it has made me love this car to death.

I started to try to figure out what was wrong with my car and why it was running so poorly. At the time I was the only 240 in town with an SR20 and shops I called only knew muscle not import cars. So I was stuck figuring it out myself or overpaying for bad service in Albuquerque.

I decided to figure it out myself.

Scoped out the turbo.

Then after checking out the turbo I found the culprit that made my car run shitty.

Ah but that was only kidding myself. There was something very noisy in the turbo area. I decided to investigate further and upon my unbolting of everything I found a very unsatisfying looking fix that the people in Memphis did for me for 400 dollars.
