Today it is snowing and being the kid that i am , i was just so excited that even if i couldnt drive the car right now, i'd decide to sit in it and juss check out how everything works.

Ok so heres the story. I was just messing around with the radio and stuff and was adjusting everything (seat postion, mirrors , etc.) then i was practicing with the shifter , to get a better feel of the gears. Anyways so i was pressing my clutch and stuff and all of a sudden CLUNK , i found out that i didnt push the seat to a locking position so i pushed on the clutch pedal really hard, and now its feeling really loose , like there is no rebound . SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!! I hope its just something simple. SORRY FOR THE LONG POST , Thanks

i opened the hood and i checked the this cylinder on the far left side , close to the drivers fenders. The fluid in there is all the way to the top. when i get under the car what do i look for?

you look on the transmission at the clutch slave cylinder, if somethings wrong it should be leaking on the ground.

ok , from waht im seeing on the ground it seems to have a just a little oil on the floor from the oil pan and thers this other little driplet onto the left side of the car... but its not close to the transmission

Bleed your clutch, there's probably air in your system.

hmm... do you think that opening the cap on the cylinder let the air in?

No, that has nothing to do with letting the air in. Unless there was no fluid in it to begin with, then pouring clutch fluid, that could let air in.

Could be the bolt adjustment under the dash, you can tighter or loosen it.

or....

I actually had one break off the fire wall, like the welds to the bracket in the car.

I had to remove the dash and custom rig a hole drill through the firewall with a lock nut and two washers so I could make ti back to a race the next day.

You could have a faulty clutch master cylinder and/or slave cylinder.

Do the simple thing first: bleed your system.

well bleeding it will tell you if you need a new one... So bleed it, then if it doesnt fix it then replace

ok thanks for all the help guys , but this is when i start being really newb. So like i get a friend to depress/release teh clutch while i am opening and closing the bleeding valve right?

First off, remove the dampener box. It's a pain in the ass to bleed when it's connected.

Bleeding the system:
-fill clutch reservoir with DOT 3 brake fluid
-have someone pump the pedal 3 times, then hold
-release the bleeder valve on the clutch cylinder and wait til the air/fluid leak out
-tighten screw
-pump 3 times again, then hold
-release bleeder screw, repeat process until clutch pedal feels firm (don't forget to watch the reservoir, fill it up when low, don't let it get too low, since air will just go back in)

what do you mean tighten my pedal? i think the main problem right now is that i have no resistance on the pedal, and i am trying to fix it by asking all these questions

Now I'm confused. Is your pedal loose? Or is your pedal not going back up when you press it?

a buddy broke the tack welds on his clutch pedal and it had the same problem(wont come back up, SLightly cockeyed). I took it off redrilled the tack weld and bolted it.

the pedal does come back up , but tehres no response like you normally will get on a normally operating clutch

What you mean "no response?" If it comes straight back up, then I think the clutch is fine, and there's no air in the system?

it does com straight back up but that is only pulled by the spring on the pedal assembly, you dont have the normal response as if your clutch is actually working.... i am having an headache

When you press the clutch (regardless of it working or not), it activates a switch so you can start the car. If you can't get into any gears, then your clutch system has air in it. Bleeeeeeeeeed.

Get under your car. Look for the transmission. Look for the soft clutch line. That line is connected to the slave cylinder. You'll see a valve there, use a 10mm socket to loosen and tighten it.
