is the ka24de a low compression engine

is the ka24de a low compression engine?

low compression is good for turbo right?

to turbo a high compression engine would u need to spend a lot of money to build up the engine first?

we do have a search button... but anyways.. to answer your question, the DE's came with a 9:5:1 compression... low compression is good for turbo...
IMO, why turbo high comp when theres all motor..

the Ka24DE is turbo-able....it has been done... read around a bit youll be surprised on what you find out.

thanks .

i was just looking at some impreza 2.5rs forum and looking at posts about turbo 2.5rs and it seemed like most people just turboed way under 10 psi and had to build up the engine too.
and i read that it had high compression

thanks for the fast reply

i wouldnt call 9.5 high compression. it isnt exactly what you want for turbo though. if tuned properly you'll be fine. pay someone to do that
