I have 4 sisters, 1 older and 3 younger. they inspire me to be great, and they are the ones that keep me strong and determined. i want to set an example see everyone in my family happy.

money. It's really the only reason I have to keep working and going to school. It's sad but I have hopes that by getting more money I can eventually travel a lot and hopefully figure out what I really want in life.
I've been in the real world workforce for 4 years and frankly I'm sick and tired of it. It's retarded. I'm realizing that life is stupid if you live like this. Day in and day out doing the same shit. And for what? So you can buy a better car, a bigger house, more shit to try to make yourself happy? But then again that's how most people live their life... It's sad. I'm just hoping something happens and gets me away from the routine lifestyle we all live. |

Money is an enabler. It enables you to do whatever you want to do, within reason of course.
Having money or not having money may or may not matter. It depends on what you want to do. If you have no aspiration to do anything then just having food and medicine would be good enough. |

I see my friends doing nothing to get ahead in life. They work minimum wage jobs barely paying rent and they don't think twice about it.
Fuck that. It's such a pathetic life. That's what drives me. |

you know what else allows me to stay positive...realizing that god gave me this life....and not the life of someone in a 3rd world country where they fight for food and hunger. Knowing that I won't die from starvation or disease because I drank the only water available. Being thankful!!!
If all of you that are unhappy cause you just "live", remembers that your life could have started somewhere else...much worse....or have been born with a disability enabling you to be outcasted, would just remember that. I'm sure you will be happ"ier". lol. granted I'm not satisfied with what I have...and will always work harder, remembering this, allows me to be thankful when times are "hard"er than others. They still aren't worse than what some are going through. |

small goals and hobbies
Everyone is naming all these Giant Goals and material things. That shit will not keep your soul happy when your depressed. And it will not pull you out of depression. You need smaller things to keep you happy and motivated along the way. You need small "payoffs", or the long term goals can become overwelming and seem to far away. I go in and out of depression, but I refuse to medicate myself. My small "hobbies" and interest are what keep me going on a daily basis. I would be depressed if my daily life motivation was a long term goal. And once that was accomplished, i would be depressed and realize I spent my life in pursuit of a material goal. I paint, draw, photography, skateboard, surf, videogames, write, build furniture stuff, reorganize house, decorate house, hike, museums, people watch, read, read, read, watch movies and lots more. These things are small goals and things that make me happy on a daily basis and are almost like an instant gratification. I set up long term goals and dreams, but I need these things daily to keep my spirits up and going. You need to figure out what you like to do in life and WHAT makes you happy. Not like cars make me happy, but what about them? Is it driving them? is it learning and overcoming obsticles building them? Is it taking on challenges while driving/drifting and getting better? Is it recognition from others? The same Goal and motivation gives different things to different people. So thats what you need to start out with. The DEEPER meaning and reasons for what motivates you and gets you happy. Thats a start. PM me if you want to talk more. I have some of the biggest goals in the world, and fight depression everyday. Its normal, and more and more common in a materialistic and confused and complicated society. |

(my mom is a counselor in drug and alcohol prevention, a therapist and done tons of phycology and child phycology classes. she works with some of the best and most established in the country. So I have alot of knowledge from her.) for the sake of discussion, continue, otherwise move to next post. I also personally think that peoples brains are like a scale. Majority of people are balanced. but some people exceed in specific ways. that puts wieght on one side of the scale. That unbalanced scale now means it gives up something else. So extremely artistic people may be lacking in social skills. Or someone like a Genius sevant might ends up being autistic. Im very creative and artistic, but I fight motivation, depression problems and cant spell worth shit, dont know what the fuck a noun is, dont know the order of my months and am a little on the dont give a shit side. some of that is probably from my childhood and leaving highschool in 10th grade and never recieving a GED, but the depression and motivation is totally just the way my brain is. I think in mild cases like myself its ok and I recognize it and tell my GF or friends if Im really down and so its managable. I dont need to float my life away on a Zany bar or any other Meds. imo. |

Another thing that motivates me, is the locals around here who didnt really accomplish anything spectacular. The type that work in a warehouse, settle with some not-so pretty chick, have kids, and repeat. *sorry to sound closed-minded, but thats just not for me*.
Theres always room for self improvement.

short term:
getting accepted into MSU's supply chain management program. its limited enrollment, but the outcome would be very worth it. i also need to finish the suspension on my E30 and get some wheels on the bish. long term:   and a nice looking wife. in the last year or so, i've done a 360. i was a bum. im trying every day to change that. every day this week, i've woken up at 4am, worked for 10 hours, then sat in a classroom for 3, then went home and slept.
