Nc inspection questions/help
Just moved to Charlotte from pa. I have a 1996 240 with an LSx. Since I'm obd2 how can I get this inspected down here? Anyone with a swap in a 96 or up have an idea? Or can anyone do it for me? Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated!!!

UNLESS you live in a county that doesn't require inspection then you're going to have to do one of two things.
1. Wire up an OBD-II port so you can get inspected. 2. Register the car as a 1995. (THIS IS ILLEGAL and would require you having a 1995 S14 title lol) Other than that your best bet is to have it titled outside the state OR in an NC county that doesn't require inspection and there aren't many of those. . . |

its just reading for emissions, its not reading as a Camaro... they put it in as a 96 2.4 it will pass.... i did a GTO ls2 in a 97 and it passed ...now that u would have to talk to ur inspector about as far as thats concerned

This is where it comes in handy to know people where you are. The same guy has been inspecting my cars since 2000. If I think for a MOMENT that I might have an issue passing, I tell him and he doesn’t put me through it with a failed inspection. Then we work to make sure it will pass THEN inspect.
Talk to your inspector before he starts the inspection
