Any tips on initial d 5?
So yeah I found initial d 5 I didn't even know about it until earlier this year and everytime I play I get my ass kicked! I'm pretty good on initial d 4 I can seem to get the hang of this. Dose any one know any good tips?

in 4 the traction is just flat out stupid. Its like youre driving on oil. I play 4 and 6. In 4 let off the gas and then smash on out right before a turn to drift. This is only necessary for hair pins and tight corners. In 6 the driving is alot better. Most of my drifts are gas,let off, tap brake, initate turn and gas at the same time. The trick is to learn where to catch the counter steer. (like in real life)

After playing Ver 5 I have to say that they've driven the series into the ground. They've changed the driving physics yet AGAIN, and the cars feel terrible.
I'd head over to Initial D World inorder to soak up some TA videos and track information from the forums. |

Best tip for any Initial D stage. Don't hit the walls. Slows your car down alot and cuts power to where it accelerates very slow for a minute or two.
Brake for the corners. Throttle lift to initiate drifts in FR cars. Smash the brake quickly while turning in full throttle will also initiate your drift while keeping in the power. If you want to initiate a drift mid corner, downshift and upshift quickly. Stage 3 is the best. Working on my 4th career run through on the same car. I think I have about $300 invested in this same card haha. |

I give the brake a small tap, turn in and floor the throttle. Downshifts are done coming out...I used to be HEAVY into TA back in the day. Posting up times on Japanese/HK forums. I need to source a Ver 2 cabinet once I get the space for it.

I check them out when ever I'm at my friends house. His little brother buys a ton of manga and I usually flip through them when I have the time. I don't know about links only sorry (I'd hit up ID world and see if anyone there posts them up).
Pfft that's only in Ver 2 there buddy with a DC2 |

I only said that because every person I watch play Initial D Arcade hits the wall at some point, usually multiple times.
If you tap the wall even 1 time in the Bunta race, you're losing. About the next Anime season, next year seemed to be the general consensus on InitialDWorld. |
