95 S14 KA RPM Needle Jumps..

So I just bought this 240sx And yes im new to the 240 arena.. But when driving the RPM needle will jump weirdly sometimes reading fine.. others it just flickers up and down.. sometimes it will even read fine till it gets to about 3.2k RPM then it will just stay stuck right there.. Anyone know wtf this problem is?

No its not the clutch slipping cause there is no heavy load on it when it happends.. And this motor is completely stock..

I just posted the same issue in chat. Mine started when I put in solid MM, check your engine mounts for proper torque, and possibly a loose ground. I still havent figured mine out, could be the cluster itself

Changing to solid motor mounts or loose motor mounts has nothing to do with anything on your cluster.

hmm, because when I switch from solid to OEM mounts the problem goes away.

I repeat, motor mounts have nothing to do with a jumpy rpm needle.
