hey b18, what do you run for engine management and the wiring harness for the K series setup?

Only put a busa motor in it if you're making it mid engine rwd. Even then I would chose a different motor. Low tq and its a highly stressed motor. Not what I'd want in a car.
A busa motoris light as hell and compact though...Which is why mid engine wouldnt be THAT bad...Do it on the cheap and make it a solid axle straight through and run a chain on it. That solves almost all your transmission problems beside reverse. You can always just do donuts to turn around everywhere or hand brake into the parking spot so you're always facing outwards.

Maybe dumb question but how the fuck do you fit in a mini when you're 6'6". Theres a guy near me with a restored mini I can't imagine fitting in it and I'm only 6'2". LOL
Cool project though. K series in a mini sounds like more than enough. Souped up minis are so awesome. |

my buddy scott just sent me a couple pictures of his that just got done today... his has the b16a though. plus he got a bunch of extra crap like a/c, power everything, cd changer, etc. i didnt want any of that extra stuff. i want to keep it looking as original as possible, except for whats under the hood... pretty much the ultimate sleeper.
the only thing i like about his is that its rhd. i got mine from british motors in orange ca, (they're a cool dealer... they have a few old fiat 500's and they've had smartcars there for the past few years)... then i had it shipped to georgia so they could build it to my specs. i paid about 3k for the stock mini. the reason i picked it up in orange first was to make sure it was already reg'd in CA... even though norman at superfastmini's said i wouldnt have a problem reg'ing one of his in CA, i still had my doubts.. i probably spent a little bit more, but at least i wont have to hassle with the dmv here or my insurance company. i hate the rag-top and the side-markers!! also dont like the clear turn signals.. but i suppose it flows better with all his chrome rather than amber signals.. here's pics of scotts: incomplete complete
