S13 Steering HUB
Hey so here is the story I picked up a 1992 240sx hatch with HICAS and I want to change out the stock steering wheel for an aftermarket wheel and heard you need a HICAS spec hub BUT I also plan to install a HICAS eliminator bar so I want to know
-Do I really need to use a HICAS spec hub? And If I don’t use one and haven’t installed the eliminator bar what would happen? -If after I install the HICAS eliminator bar do I still need a HICAS spec hub or can I just use a standard s13 hub? Thanks for the help. |

No you don't need a special hub if your removing your HICAS later in the future. The HICAS will disable when it realizes the steering sensor is gone the HICAS light will illuminate during Highway driving but will not cause an issue. But that's just my experience when i drove my car with HICAS and a MOMO hub for a good 2 years no issue.
