I rarely post but holy shit man… this is fucking AWESOME!! I love how clean you have kept everything. very simple, and looks easy to maintain. Waiting to see this bad boy in action.

Even though I dislike V8s, hydros and things of that nature in drift cars, I REALLY admire the attention to detail in your build as well as your fabrication. Everything looks great! Keep it up man

thanks for the positive feedback folks. no real noteworthy updates to report. i got burnt out and wasn't having fun anymore so i'm taking a short break. in the meantime it's just waiting while i play with an FC. i'll get back to work in a week or so.

^thanks dude!
well, i'm supposed to be with my friends at thunderhill right now shaking down my car but i could not get my shit together in time. sucks. all the little things... so many little things required to finish this MFing build. recent progress: i had to figure out a place to mount some hood pins. i also realized i needed some sort of steering stops. i cut the inside of my doors out. got the PC rear and 1/4 windows made and installed. then i ran the ducting from the radiator shroud to the NACAs in the 1/4 windows. finally got my transmission tunnel cover made. test fitting my dmax crap. and i finally got a windshield! so, it runs and drives now. i'm just down to a few loose ends, some cosmetic stuff, paint and an alignment. burnout vid soon... |

thanks everyone. a little positive feedback goes a long way when you're drudging through the final stages of a long build.
i was able to get some paint on the car yesterday despite a wonky compressor. exact japanese maple color match! |

oh man, i barely have time to make stuff for my own car! sorry!
well, i had a good test day at t-hill yesterday. the car held together great. the PCM, setup and driver definitely need work but it was amazing to see the thing finally moving under it's own power. it's been a long road. |

haha! no part out yet but i'll let you know. honestly, it was damn near impossible to drift with the PCM in limp mode. too much angle, too much wheels, too much camber and no power.

suuuuck. i think mine is ok though. it just needs to get through its self tune which supposedly takes 30 miles of driving. hard to do on a skid pad but it was slowly getting better throughout the day.
hope you get yours figured out soon. you're looking for points, right? |
