Everything you buy from them comes with a 30 day money back guarantee, no questions ask, engine could be perfect, you just don't want it? Money back. Quality wise, you pull it, its up to you. If you order it from a distribution center or ebay, you pay for the condition. You can get one engine for $400 an the same make/model in POS mode for $140... or you could buy one of their remans for $1000. Its a used engine in the end from a car that was wrecked. How the @#ck can you expect them to know if it had its oil-changed et al for the last 5 years by countless owners and that bearings are not shot, or a ECU isn't fried. |

You guys have to know that most of JDM parts dealer in Canada have warehouse or office located in USA nearby big sea port like new york..
I'm going to see them every month and buy from ALL of them mostly.. here's a list of what shop you can find in Montreal City who do have warehouse/office in USA Osaka, JDM RACING, JDM Montreal, Japan general motor, Nagano, JDM Nagoya and list could still go on.. Something they dont share the same name in USA and Canada but still is the same owner and such.. I'm not backing up them for the purschase and all thing happened in this thread..but just to give some details about them.. |

That's good to hear it just that they kinda thew me off when asking for my SSN , but anyways I'm still waiting for them to respond and see which engine they are actually sending out. I wrote them an E-mail yesterday usually they are quick to respond but they haven't replied yet. I actually sent two, 1 was the day before yesterday. I'm just going to wait about 2-3 more days and see if they actually reply before I talk about their communication being an issue after payments were made, in 2-3 days I figure they should know which engine they actually sent out or I'll just find out on my own since it will probably be here by then. If its not the exact engine and I decide not to sign it ...could I get my money back using paypal? Quote:

If you actually get your engine, keep it, live and learn. Idk how people are still getting fucked when all the info for reputable shops is out there. JHot, Zerolift and Venus. Never buy from Canadians. I hope u used a credit car via paypal and not a back account. CC companies don't fuck around and will get hour money back. PP, yer fucked. Also, since you gave out your SSN, get FCR and also report it. They dint need that shot except to give terrorist in Canada fake passports to get state side. |

We need a poll in sticky of good shops and bad shops thats most commonly used and everytime someone buys an engine with good results,He or she can go to the poll in sticky and give that company a good rating and visa versa,That will help people rest a little better on picking the best shop possable, perferablly shops that do leak down/compression tests and have warrenties,Not sure if I could even make a poll because my post count but it would be reasurring if someone did this.

No. No we fucking don't. Go to Nico or 240sxforums for that silly ass shit. If you are on here you should be fucking smart enough to use the search feature and know to research shops before buying shit from Canada on eBay and being stupid enough to do an "off eBay" side deal with a eBay seller so he saves money and you loose what little protection and recourse eBay offers.

Dude, you need to shut the fuck up because you have been talking a lot of fucking shit in this thread. You stupid fuck you think I didn't do any kind of research , do you know what kind of situation I'm in ? basically I'm in a situation where I need an engine and get it going by the next month so I can drive to work. There's been pros and con just about every place I searched up, I've been at it for two months. I got Robert on facebook and has exchanged an Email with him about 2 months ago I told him exactly I would need an engine by Jan or Feb so here I am. There was stories on zerolift so that's why I decided to go somewhere else because I lost my confidence, although everything seems to be good with them now, props to them. Wrote the same email to japaneseengineimport around the same time and in that email I asked if possible they could provide a compression test video he told me that they could arrange something. I followed up with him with the old Email of our convo this time they wanted to me pay full before they can get me a video. I asked them to meet me half way and let me make a deposit for the video if they think I'm going to bail and waste their time, no respond after that. There's jdmenginecorp who's Local, with an infamous video of a knocking engine on youtube, and there's local forum about them screwing people. There's a lot more I'm just not going to type it about everything. You mentioned Jhot good place, but they are shut down stupid fuck they were suppose to be doing some online and arrangements but they don't have anything. even with Sr20store there's been story. You get the point now, you still don't think I did any kind of research? just keep your fucking mouth shut and don't come in here talking a bunch of bullshit. I just figured there was a risk no mater who I get my engine from so why not just get one where I can get photos and videos of it being tested and that's what I did I just got tired of worry who or where to get it from. The whole thing that I was worried about was not getting the exact engine that's why I created this thread. |

Lets see; Okay, you get said engine, bearings are shot, clutch toast, turbo fried...say what? You have no business swapping an SR in your non-running-must have daily. You also failed to mention Venus so obviously your research fell short. JDMHookup is another credible source. Honestly enough peeps sell this shit you should have drove out an bought in person. You also could have been awesome like me, bought my shit legit from a fellow zilvian. Hour drive, first hand inspect and bamn! Prolly paid $700 less then you did too, only I didn't get fucked. This is just a bullshit "pity me cause I'm a fucking noob thread". |

Man hopefully you really didn't think you could buy a engine and just drop it in and drive away. After getting my engine replacing the pump's, belts, gaskets, turbo, clutch, exhaust, ext. I'm sitting at about 3500-4K, and to be honest I'm not even 100% sure on the insides. Compression was good. I'm just saying tread carefully on thinking you can swap and drive off in a engine that was prob sitting for some time on a shelf.

LMFAO, you talk a lot of fucking shit.. Welfare? bitch I got money what the fuck are you talking about ? Just because I didn't mention Venus doesn't mean I "fell short" on my research. Can you not fucking read? I said there was more I'm not going to be posting about every mother fucking japanese engine store and yes I heard of Venus. you probably didn't even know about Jhot closing their store. LOL "This is just a bullshit "pity me cause I'm a fucking noob thread" no, no , and no bitch calling me a noob because my lack of posts? I'm guessing when you signed up you had 500 posts magically added to your account? LOL I'm looking for pity ? I have another 9K+ in my account with checks coming in every week. Like I mentioned earlier I have a job I did what was convenient for me. The reason I made this thread was to basically build it up and let people know how it turns out if anything goes wrong then I can warn them. I just don't understand why assholes like you come in here pointing finger and talking shit what I "should have done , shouldn't have done" I mean fact of the matter is this could have happened with any store , of course I'm not talking about them asking me for my SSN I'm talking about them saying there is a slight possibility of a different engine. Payment was just made 3 days ago , let's wait and see how this turns out before you start pointing and saying shit like "you got fucked" . If I did I would come back here and let everyone know about it so they are aware of this place and as mentioned earlier it's too early for me to tell what's going on so we'll see in about 2-3 days. Until then , can you go take your meds and chill the fuck out? Thanks bro, |

I"ll try to make you feel somewhat better... Their ebay rating is pretty good. If you do a google search you will see JDM Nagoya phone # as 514.... probably a wharehouse where they (& other re-sellers) get their engines to sell/re-sell or the NY shop owns or supplies Nagoya like someone else stated. Now the SSN#....HELL TO THE MUTHAFUCKIN NAW! No need for that. Shouldnt of paid anything outside of ebay or paypal either. You should of asked for a discount if you were "saving Nagoya ebay fees", I mean if you're gonna be dumb then be all the way dumb...I do think you will get an engine, as far as the exact same one??? Who knows. Contact & Ask other buyers from his feedback page if they received the exact engine that was tested (although you should have done that before hand). Like you stated, its your 1st time buying a engine, we all have to learn one way or another. Local craigslist is also your friend. Always better to deal & buy locally & in person! Goodluck man.

Any buissness that cares about customer satisfaction would have been delighted to send you a leak/comp test which will pretty much ensure the customer will purchase the motor from them,By not sending the tests and saying pay first there hiding something and dont want you to see the results of the compression test. |

If theres a warrenty I wouldnt stress to much,Is there?Doing this outside of ebay and paypal I would have seened about them honoring me a warrenty for going that route.Maybe even cancel the transaction till they warrenty it for you,They will understand and most likely do it with you dishing out that much money,If not maybe cancel and tell them you want to go through paypal and ebay so they will cover if you get the wrong/broken motor (if they ebay will even do that with engines I'm not sure but dont they cover broken items so would'nt an engine still count?)

Getting some "specific" engine is the least of your concern and compression test is also a poor indicator to how easy/quick/cheap a swap will be. You still don't grasp that, and that is what makes you a "doe-eyed needs to go back to NICO noob." Did they tell you about how it only has 60k kilometers and shit? Cool right! If you really have your imaginary 9k, go buy a fucking $500 Sentra or Taurus to get your ass too work and do a proper swap. Please quit with the belly aching, this isn't a fucking self help forum. |

Yea, that was dumb of me. I'm an honest dude I just wanted everything to go smoothly for them as well as for me that's why I didn't mind going out of ebay although made sure they had paypal, and I did see their rep but you're right I should have asked other buyers before doing anything. I'm sure that I will get the engine but you like you said maybe not the exact one I'll let you guys know. Quote:
