my lug bolt just recently broke off and needed to put it back. ive tried using an open end lug nut to tread the bolt into the holes on the disc brakes but wen i get towards the end the whole bolt starts to spin and i cant get the bolt to lock into the treads. any help will be greatly appriciated. sorry if its a lil confusing...

you didn't bolt it far enough, usually, i just put my wheels on and bolt it on, never failed on me, and i've done this like 5 times already...

stack a shitload of lock washers between the rotor and the open lug nut

oh also, maybe pull, tug it a little bit until it 'catches'...

I just put the wheel on and pulled it on with the lug nut

its been forever since i did this, but i thought i was able to tap it in from behind with a hammer enough that the splines didnt spin when i tightened the open lug nut on.

ive tried tapping it from the back with a hammer and the lock washer idea but nothing. i also tired putting the wheel on and tried it but it still never catched. maybe i got the wrong size open lug nut...idk cause it doesnt go all the way thru the bolt if i just try to hand tight it. watcha guys think??

12mmx1.25 lug nut is what you should have, if so you're probably using the wrong stud to put back in.

happened with me with the correct size, the problem for me is the hub locking threads were worn out. had the studs welded onto the hub but ended up getting a used set of hubs.

Take the broken one to the parts store and compare. They almost always bring me the wrong one to begin with.
