Anybody in Michigan?
My gf is considering moving to MI to attend schools. She'll probably choose from Grand Rapids, Lansing, or Auburn Hills to live in.
I have never been to MI before. How's the weather? Does she need a 4WD? She lived in Chicago before so how does that compare? How's the people? Are they nice? She drives an MR-2. I think I need to get her a Dodge Ram because some of the school buildings are blocks from the Chrysler headquarter. I can already see angry Chrysler workers beating up her car |

The winters in Michigan are pretty brutal. I live near grand rapids. An mr2 is not a smart car to have in michigan winters. Summers are fine of course. You dont have to have 4wd but it would be better. The bare neccesity is a fwd with good all season tires and good tread on them. Snow tires would be even better.

I live in grand rapids, and as far as i know there is really no way to drive your car in a track environment besides auto x. There is gratten and gingerman but from what i hear its expensive and they are strict as hell, must have track experience and no drifting. Does anyone know a place were you can practice driving besides auto x? Its not that i wont auto x i just want to get some legit track experience as well.
