Chuki the street sleeper build - 2jz
Hey guys, it's been 4-5 months since my build have started and I want to share
it with you. Little story, I'm Patrick from Quebec (so be indulgent for my bad English ) I always wanted a 100% stock and clean s-chassis to start with so I can build it the way I want. The plan/goal is: ~500 whp on pump gas Reliable the most sleeper possible a car that I can take whenever and wherever I want That's not going to be a show car by any mean, but a clean car for sure. Don't expect a 4 inch drop and 195 tire on a 10 inch wheel, I'm not a fan of this. In May 2016 I found the 'Perfect' car to start with: 1993 240sx 5 speed no a/c , no hicas 99% stock (aftermarket radio ) Black with black interior no winter driven only 2 owners before me After a little wax October 2016 I found the r154 and a 2jzgte vvti Then I start to clean it up Tranny cleaned Time to order some new parts Jz bellhousing Valve cover gasket Intake manifold gasket Belt, bolt, thermosthat, etc Her is a video of me starting the engine on the floor to make sure everything is fine December 2016 taking the engine off Last edited by greenpat01; 07-01-2017 at 09:30 AM.. |

Don't wanna sound dumb, but is starting engines like that safe?
I didn't notice any cooling components hook up, looks sketch.. Sounds badass though lol.

Great build. That is what I should have done to my 97 before I turbo'd the ka. I eventually put it back to stock and sold the car.

I like the idea of a smaller turbo on a 2jz, the response will make it a weapon on the street and a ton of fun to drive. Peaky power bands are kinda lame IMHO

Wow, the car looks amazing! Pretty jealous of you finding one in that kind of condition. Exactly what I wanted to start my build with years ago, but I had to settle for one that was slightly modified. Excellent work so far- looking forward to seeing more!

Awesome build! Did you tune it yet or are you planning to? I'm curious how tuning the VVTi will be. Did the transmission have any clearance issues in the tunnel? And does the S13/14 take a front or rear sump 2JZGTE?

No transmission cleanrance issues at all , and you need a front sump Jz to fit a s-chassis
