aftermarket side mount intercooler for S13

id like to guage interest on a Bigger Side mount intercooler for the S13 chassis and possibly s14. it should be able to handle 300-400whp. it will mount in the stock SMIC spot. im hoping it will run around $250-350. it will be close to the stock design just bigger and more effecient.

the reason behind it is an easier alternative to a Big overkill Front mount. most sr/ka cars arent running more then 400whp. it will eliminate any need for cutting or even buying a aftermarket bumper to fit a efficient intercooler. also cuts down on cops targeting you for your flashy chrome IC.

give me some ideas if you have them.

mods sorry if this is in the wrong section please move accordingly.

The only aftermarket sidemount I know of is ARC, which is gonna be way more than ~$250. I'm probably wrong though.

You could look into a mid-mount kit. Here's an example: http://zilvia.net/f/sale-items/16115...tercooler.html It's an old thread and he's long since sold it, but you get the idea...

for that amount you will need to get an FMIC and paint it black. The ARC is like $500+ and you are not going to get optimal air flow on it tucked away in the fender well on a stock bumper. You don't need to get a huge one either 7x24x3 or something close to it, You will have to cut for the piping, but that is pretty damn easy.

Blitz made an aftermarket side mount intercooler for the SR20DET. If you don't want to attract attention with a FMIC, go V-mount. V-mount gives you insane response. just make sure you duct the front so the air reaches both the intercooler and radiator.
