Incorrect.
Its actually better to be smaller.
Most bodybuilders dont even break the six foot mark.
Ronnie Coleman is only like 5'10
Jay Cutler, mr. olympia 5'9
Frank zane 5'9
For example go look at the arnold classic and tell me how many of the contenders are over six foot, probably like 3 out of 10, if that.
You may be thinking of more fitness model type, they actually have a class that is more AF model, pool body type now.

Thanks for the pullup suggestion, sounds good to switch it up! Havent tried those weighted or with different form, usually just some regular ones at the beginning and end of the workout.

most dudes that have an awesome bench and all that jazz cant do a strict flat bar pull up for shit. i got mad respect for dudes who can hit strict pull ups. all the way up chest to bar and lock out at the bottom. That shit is hard as fuck.

take this picture for instance. sure my bicep looks big and I can fill out a shirt pretty nice but look at the fat between my bicep and forearm. Now I'm shooting for overall strength after not lifting for 2 years and handling food like a fat champion lol.

I used to be a scrawny guy, and I got over 200 pounds no problem. Just seems a lot of people aren't patient enough to get up there naturally is all.

A good example is my buddy joe, dude is from Guam and is like 5'4. This is him 10-12 years ago

his parents both died from natural causes just being unhealthy in general, whatever the cause was it sparked his interest in bodybuilding to be healthy. I can vouch Joe is all natural and is all about hard work. Although this is the only photo I could find where he doesn't look gay as hell lol.

just cause he's big now doesn't mean he has lost his inner sissy.

haha.
hard work no doubt.

but he is also 5'4".

he weighs what? 160? It doesn't take much to fill out a short frame.

Powerlifting and bodybuilding are two different worlds.
The difference in body types tells all.
on heavy lifting days, eat fast food.

serious.

i do it all the time, it gives me SO much energy. i'm actually able to do more *working* sets on the lift.

Wow this is the first real piece of mis-informatin Ive seen you really post up yet. Frame has nothing to do with filling in. Trust me, 160lbs @ 5'4" and lean is hard work for Wayne's friend to maintain. Our bodies like to keep an equal balance. Our frames naturally tell us what our bodies limitations will be. I hit mine right around 155lbs. I have a very small frame which that plus my genetics held me back. Sure Im only 5'7" and weight roughly 180 @ 10% roughly.

Now in all seriousness anyone over 5'10"-6'0" if you weigh under 190 @ sub 11% you are skinny as fuck. You will not look good in any shirt except for Shmediums till your around 200-205. Talking weight numbers is no way to talk about bodybuilding. It is a physique contest hands down. Its all about who looks better in a symetrical way. I dont give a fuck if your 220 @ 6'1 and bench 500lbs and deadlift 600lbs. If you have a 36" waste your just another John Candy in my book. Fuck if you have a 33-34 waste your overweight by a loong shot.

Your look also defines your health. I dont know what else to say but if your fat your fat. If you look like a crazy roided out body building monster you probably are(probably with extemely high blood pressure too). There is no sugar coating it. You are what you eat no matter what supplements, steroids or pro-horomones you take. The diet defines your look, the other shit is just icing on the cake.

LOL never, fast food makes me crash.
I dont eat fast food period. For me, eating fast food consist of going to the teriyaki chicken place and getting breast on rice,
Or grabbing a bar and a meal shake at the local nutri store.
Grabbing "fast food" just means I was a slacker the night before and didnt prep my meals for the coming day.

Same here I get a really bad insulin crash from the sugar. Fast food after a heavy lifting day can be beneficial as thats when you want the insulin flowing. Thus why Jay Cutler calls Coke (the soda) poor mans Insulin. He would down a liter of it after every workout followed by 100g protein and 150g carbs.

This is Jay before everything else. He is still a teen ager in this video and its way back in 1993

YouTube - ‪Jay Cutler 1993‬‏

This is him today at my gym

YouTube - ‪Jay Cutler Motivation‬‏

Its nice having people like him to turn to for advice. It also helps that he worked in my union for years before he went big time pro in early 2000. His cycle is nuts but to make what he makes and to compete at that level its nessecary.

While were talking about meals and diet, whats a good daily meal breakdown for someone looking to build more muscle, but be cut?

I feel like thats where I am really lacking right now, my knowledge for meals and food througout the day is pretty bleak. Besides staying away from junk food and empty carbs which I've always done for the most part.

cut or add muscle.... adding muscle will also drop over all body fat% but your look wont really change till you truly cut.

check out simplyshredded.com and look up their meal plans. its a good start.

i need to get up to 200-220 maybe to even have arms like those.

exactly do not forget about your actual bone density weight. Every inch roughly equates to additional 7lbs of over all lean mass. so a 5'7" @ 180 @ 10% is 210 @ 10% to equal symetrical size and look. You tall guys allready have weight in your frames alone.

this is me as of this morning

post up your guys pics or your opinions dont mean shiet.

Its about finding a balance to where you arent at a complete deficit but also not overloading with cals.
Times your body weight by 11 to get baseline cals.
This morning i weighed in at 188x11=2068 cals just idling, then id add around 900 cals to compensate for metabolic rate(everyone is different).
so I am just around 3k to be on a near perfect diet(3k still not enough cals).
If I want to cut up I minus 500, If I want to bulk I start adding in increments of 500 also.

this is what i was thinking also, but still much rather have whole foods after workout and a nice big shake with all the goodies.(carbs, dextrose, whey etc.)

just heavy ass lifting, half ass dieting. I'm sure if I was into cutting I would've looked retarded.

I'll post some updated pictures in december after I drop about 20 more lbs.

I'll post some updated pictures in december after I drop about 20 more lbs.

Damn drop like 5% of BF and you would look like a totally different person. Having mass to start is always a nice benefit. Although I never agreed with the statement its easier to cut then to add weight. Because adding weight is cake, its the sacrifices while cutting thats hard.

Sorry but they are unfortunately true. In great example of genetic choosing look at african americans in comparison to the majority of african natives. Slave traders picked the strongest best built and back then nothing but genetics differentiated people. There was no celltech protien, no p90x, no anabolics just plain old genetics. Same goes with many asian descendants, small, frail and so so metabolisms.
