Help spotting real vs replica Brix II (pics included)
I've read a lot about spotting the differences, but the truth is, replica companies are so damn good at making fake ones now a days. Anyone more knowledgeable than me mind helping me spot whether this one is authentic or replica?
I know once I see it in person there are tell tale signs like the quality of fabric and stitching, but just wondering if there's anything in the pictures that scream replica. One thing I noticed is someone on Zilvia once said that the bottom cushions will have the name of the seat embossed on the bottom of the cushion. I can see that there's a name embossed so that's a good sign, but it says "ERGO" whereas the tag says Brix II. Another thing is the BRIDE logo is a bit off on the back, but I realize that can just be a matter of the cover/skin shifting. Any issues here? Thanks, bros.

Good catch, I forgot about that sticker. I'll ask the seller. Looking at the bottom of the cushion again it almost looks like, "BRGO." That normal?

It's really hard to tell these days. Bride isn't consistent on their models over the years and the whole grey market makes the waters muddy.

the difference between the Brix & the Ergo was the shape of the shoulder & thigh bolsters, the Brix are more square. Im unsure if the Brix said 'Ergo' on the bottom cushion. The seat in question looks exactly like mine in terms of the roundness of the bolsters so I'm not sure why it has a Brix sticker.
the fabric looks like mine, sorta like a cotton t-shirt. the gold hog-tie rings that hold the fabric on the bottom look the same. the places where the seat slider attaches to the bottom of the seat looks the same as well. ill put of some pics of mine so you can compare. On your pics it has the 'Brix' sticker on it. That piece clasps onto a piece of metal that on mine has the NAPAC sticker, but on your last picture is covered by the extended piece of fabric that holds the cushion down (because its properly attached). Ask the seller to unclasp that and maybe the NAPAC sticker is under there. It looks legit to me. GL! Last edited by s0fa king; 01-04-2015 at 01:40 PM.. |
