S13: Wiring Ganadors to Non-Power Chassis
A while back a member on here cut me his pigtail and sold it to me along with a power mirror switch. Its my understanding that s13's were not all pre-wired from the factory for power mirrors. (mixed info available). Anyways, there is no mirror wiring in my 90 coupe. I saw nothing on power mirrors for the 89-90 chassis (unsure if power mirrors were even an option for those years.
Looking in the 91-94 FSM, in the BF section (as shown below) is a wiring diagram for the mirrors. The colors listed, don't match the colors on my pigtail. Also, the FSM uses the letter "L". Things start to make since if L = Blue? On my pig tail, I have -black (chassis ground) -purple/white (which looks like it splits and goes to both mirrors. Assuming since both ganadors have black wires, this is the ground for both mirrors) -Blue/white looks like it goes to the fuse box with a 10A Fuse. -Yellow/black (RH Mirror) -Blue/black (L/B on Diagram?) (RH mirror?) -Yellow/Blue (LH Mirror?) -Blue/Red (L/R on diagram?) (LH Mirror?) Can anybody confirm or deny any of this? Also, why the fuck did nissan use L for blue? Unless the digital copy of the FSM I downloaded doesn't show it as BL? Also, huge picture for ease of reading. |

Correct on the "L"= Blue.
-purple/white (which looks like it splits and goes to both mirrors. Assuming since both ganadors have black wires, this is the ground for both mirrors) Correct -Blue/white looks like it goes to the fuse box with a 10A Fuse. Correct, this connects to M101 in the diagram -Yellow/black (RH Mirror)correct -Blue/black (L/B on Diagram?) (RH mirror?) correct -Yellow/Blue (LH Mirror?)correct -Blue/Red (L/R on diagram?) (LH Mirror?) correct as well

I guess I should've clarified, I wired them up a few weeks ago this way and they have worked ever since.
However, thanks for clarifying japslap. Kids of the future will never know this exists because they're too lazy to search |
