Mazworx SR20VE/SR20DET Project
A friend decided to donate his car for a build we've been trying to work on. This will be a SR20VE head (VVL) to a SR20DET block. For those that dont know much about the VVL head, its pretty much a Honda VTEC setup, so VVL head + boost ='s much power and less head breakage of parts. The VVL head flows much better and has stronger components than of the regular SR20DET head. This is the same head we run on our drag Silvia S15 better known as "The Green Machine"
Here are pics of it starting to pull the motor apart.

OMGosh. I've been wanting to do this for forever now but have never had the funds. I'm looking forward to this thread so much. Subscribed.
Do you have dyno sheets so you can have before/after? Are you going to do it while it's in the car? Oh, and what is this car going to be used for? Drift, drag, circuit?

Just wondering, are you goin to keep the VVl setup? Or are you going to get cams to keep all the lobes the same.
Becuase i know companys make cams that "kill" VTEC. Boost +short runner and your good. Also, does this raise your compression? |

Last year the car went [email protected] with this setup.
