Is this the same Diago that none of you showed up for at D1 Anahiem?
Same guy Forest almost beat? D1 judging and FD judging are two totally different things. Im excited if it actually happens, but im doubting it. Last edited by ericcastro; 03-07-2012 at 02:04 AM.. |

I was at that D1GP. I remember being so damn impressed by how he was throwing around that chaser. I was rooting for Ueno at the time though. =D Great event but the food vendors and lack of bathrooms was a nightmare.

These entry's are over 160kmh.
Naoki is not really considered a pro in Japan. He doesnt have the money to go to the USA to compete.

One of the mechanics from team orange came over and started trying to push Barnett out of the way, Barnett pushed back then people started yelling. Shit got out of hand and now there's no D1GP usa any more.. thing about d1 gp is that there was almost no human input for judging. All data was retrieved from GPS and angle sensors on the cars.

Daigo is one of my favorite drivers.. But the above statement is SO true. If he doesn't get used to what US judges want he won't do well here(competition wise).

The fact that it even went OMT is redic. But what is more redic, is the fact they would get mad, and the whole Namarukin thing at Anaheim...... YET IT WAS THEIR JUDGING SYSTEM THAT SCREWED EM, lmao!! |

you see heres the thing about D1GP Anaheim....
IT WAS A WASTE OF FUCKING TIME AND TALENT.. worst judged event ive ever been to with the worst judging criteria... the Announcer didnt even know what cars he was blurting out...the whole time calling an s14 a soarer or vise versa....what sucked to was when the security came like 4 guys deep to remove Alex Pheipher from the stands a few rows down from me... im glad i came up on the D1 banner ...that was probably the highlight of my day..

Then drivers wont be so scared to get close. The way it is right now, if you start getting to close, the lead car can sandbag and get you to tap them, then take the points. So who would want to risk on of 2 dozen runs most drivers get in a full season. |

Not in the pure sense but what is allowed to the chassis is kind of bs. Check Gushi's FRS compared to HKS and Droo-P GT86. FD cars hack off everything outside if the strut towers and attach body Panels to custom tubing. They remove so much sheet metal that they can compensate weight anywhere.

I cannot watch the US versions of drifting, bunch of high speed half assed angles with no actual STYLE in it.
Americans call it dirty to fake shift and trick throttle play to screw your opponent up, but that is the sport, high speed entry race lines are boring. Glad there is a new drift set up coming out in Japan! |
