Hi I have a Nissan 180sx 1997 it will turn over when I turn the key but won't start. but when push started it will start and it will also start when jumped. I have had the starter reconditioned and also changed fuel pump and coolant temp sensor. I have checked the ignition and fuses + relays. I have checked the wiring also. Any help would be appreciated

Cranks but no start? Try starting with the trottle wide open.

check you engine earths. put a jump lead between engine and chassis.

strange. starting with a bump but not on the starter is usually a sign of bad earths.

seems weird that it starts ok when jump started. is your battery good?

Yes we have tried a new battery makes no difference and have checked the earths just can't figure it out

Would you think it could be the cas ? Car runs and drives fine when push or jump started.

Make sure the engine is grounded properly. Take some jumper cables and start grounding random spots on the engine. Intake, block, transmission etc.

Check the battery for CCAs and voltage
