Hey luke have you figured out if you can weld a Viscous yet? I've got an extra that I could ship, I wish I had an extra open diff. you cant beat $100 for complete predictability.

Well we have perfected, everything except viscous. The reason being is that we reccomend our customers sell their diffs for the $300 and take their open diff and have it welded.
Other then that we can do torsion, open, and helicle diffs without any problems. With the clutch and viscous diffs. We have determined that the only way is to dowel pin them in 14 different spots and then weld those pins through the casing.

Just a question. Since these welded diff's are always locked, how is the performance on the track (grip driving) affected?

Awsome. Handles like a 2 way. Still the only detriment in grip driving is that hard braking with little steering input will tend to get the ass out a little. Feels great in my opinion.

I have a weld locd version 3 on my car (more than half a year) and it is great. I used it in many events, road race, drive hard, and it is still in perfect working order. For the price you can't beat it!
I watch Luke weld my diff, he took his time and explained why it is a long process. It wasn't a micky mouse job, he knows what he was doing. |

Hows the daily driving with these welded diffs? Is there much noise out of the differential? Im sure the one wheel hops when taking a sharp slow turn, but other then that is there really any problems with daily driving them? I am very interested in this but not sure how it will be on my daily driver

V3 is an Awsome diff! Grip, Drift, daily whatever! Prefer it over a VLDS, Clutch type and ofcourse open. I wont run anything different unless someone pays me! +1 for a GREAT DIFF!

This sounds good.
Any idea on when you'll be locating any open diffs? I'd like to get in on one but don't really have an extra open diff to throw your way. |

I will give out a little alignment secret here. run .015 toe out on each side and it turns in like a evo, with coilovers.
Believe me you will love it. BTW. i didnt create weld locd to sell hella shit. I created it so people who didnt have money (like myself) would be able to get a decent diff, and not worrie about shit being rebuilt or breaking.
