i have NO top speed and NO limiter why?
ok just curious to why my speedo didnt top out at 118 mph, ok i was being stupid and was racing my buddy in his integra and that new smaller lotus, when i relized that the lotus couldnt pass i looked at my speedo, it was pointing at the "U" in fuel under the speedo on my s13, this is my setup, 91 auto ecu W/ manual trans, 91 wire harness, 96 ka motor, 91 distributer and reverse harness on trans is cut, i rewired my stock HUD cluster harness to work with a 91 analog, speedo works obviously, and tach works, sooo why did i not top out, any ideas, i was thinking that maybe because i had the auto ecu but i had the same setup on my 91 motor and when i got it dynoed it topped out at 118 then i put the 96 motor in and speedo just keeps on goin i had to been doin bout at least 135mph

itsz the ECU... the auto's dont have fuel cuts or rev limiters.. and since you are using an auto ECU with a manual tranny, a fuel cut and you have no rev limiter... i found this out when my friend wanted to get rid of his fuel cut, and i just told him to use an auto ecu which he had already and joila.. no fuel cut...
fuel cuts suck... id rather have an ignition cut.. like the Bee*R one.

Thank the lord my 97 SR ecu has non of that BS, pretty easy to top over 240kph, got some vid of it while I was chasing down a Opel Turbo but i still need to get it off the Vid camera, i think i toped about 250 neering 6800rpm in 5th
