i dont like safc's at all. i think its just an expensive way to hack your harness. its amazing how many people go through all of the hassle of building an engine or putting together a turbo kit, only to skimp out on tuning - you see the threads every day. i wouldnt mind replacing my jwt ecu at some point with a standalone or a true real time tune. but if someone needs an ecu for their setup, jwt makes them and they can be very reliable. just ask cody ace - he swears by them and makes awesome power for a tune that was sent in the mail to him.

Ive spoke with him about it. I think he could make that power without cams if tuned properly, and he is the exception to the rule as well. Otherwise his name wouldnt have to be brought up each time there is a debate on mail order tunes. If they were so good it wouldnt always go back to him.

62 63 e5 and e6 take type 3, the e's are blacktop, but the j4 and j5 are blacktop too (late) like the ones that were late model s13 180's that ran during the s14 and those are type 4, just a heads up there.

Listen to 4x4le. I had a SAFC and JWT ECU. Could not get it to work cause his latency values were way off. Switched to a Nistune ECU and am way happier with it. Just made 425HP and 445 ft/lbs torque off of Nistune!
