retrofitting hids into s13 pop up headlights
has anyone here successfully done this yet and still been able to put their headlights down? im trying to find out what projectors i need that will fit inside the h4 houseing and still clear when closing the headlights.......someone please help...........im thinking about trying e46 bi xenons

i think its been done but its a long painfull project.. dont get me wrong i have a fetish when it comes to HID's.. pretty much had them on every car/bike besides S13..with the pop-up its just a PITA, plus no matter how much fabbing is done esthetics are still not going to be as clean as OEM.. here is my .02 cents on this.. dont waist your time.. get some good HELLA H4 housings, get a nice used OEM kit (they run around 200-250 w/bulbs) prefereably from a newer BMW, HELLA gen 2-3 ballasts.. buy some caspershields that i believe come with an H4 base.. pop those fugers in and you're set.. all under $400 and install is going to be a breeze.. overall you will greatly improve your lightning comparing to stock but its "NOT" going to be projector quality, or a razor sharp cut off! Most importnat is that "you" will be a happy camper nontheless!
