It shocked the hell out of me. lol but if he comes then thats all who we need. But I got like 2 more peeps that know what their doing. Also i'll ask my friend that is in Team Battle Swing and they can help us out. Peace.

I think a NASA even would be smarter for our first track even, but I have no idea how that plays into everyones schedule... I probably wouldnt be able to attend... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> We should wait to see what the 2003 NASA schedule will look like. It should be out in Dec which is a little late... but I dunno.

I wouldnt be to worried about rain, it doesnt rain THAT much in cali, and even if it does, still might be able to pull it off like Mike said.
At any rate I asked someone about it and I should have a better idea where we stand within a few days. I am also putting together a list of people, so let us know if your interested, I know its hard cuz we dont have dates yet but just interest level will do for now. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/music.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':music:'>

One of the things that new track people should keep in mind is that an S95 or S2000 rated helmet is required. It costs a couple hundred dollars and up. You will NOT want to share a helmet with someone else! The helmet can get very sweaty, and I'm sure you don't wanna soak your head in somebody else's sweat. x_x So if you don't have an S rated helmet, be sure that you'll be able to get one if you plan on going to the track.

Did someone say my name? Wow.. $200 is pretty steep. I'm going to SpeedTrialUSA at Willowsprings on Nov. 3rd and 4th for $135 per day or $240 for both days. Then again to Willow Springs on Nov. 15 with SpeedVentures for $135. Then there's another event I'm going to later in November at ThunderHill.
But since you guys are my friends, I guess I can lay out $200 and go with you guys. Just hope you don't mind if I bring my mom along to drive. Please don't get offended if she passes some of you newbs. She's pretty good. - Kevin

Well if you wanna do it in san jose, I know a park with a nice size park with BBQ pits and down the street (about 200 feet) is a shopping mall. With a starbucks.. mmm.. Just thought i would throw it in. Its very close to Evergreen community college.

MMmmm... I want to go to Willow Springs. Anyone know when the last day to register is? I suppose I could find that out myself. If I can make the money in time, at least I don't have to drive as far to get there. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/alien.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':alien:'>

We've been having a lot of meets in Santa Clara County. :P I dunno, maybe every other meet should be in the South Bay, since most of us seem to be from that area. Or every third meet or something. How about Candlestick Point State Recreation Area? It's that park right next to 3Com Park (Candlestick Park) in San Francisco. Great view of the Bay (if you like looking at water) and plenty of parking spaces. It has picnic tables and barbecue grills but I dunno if you people want another BBQ. Maybe a potluck this time, or drinks only, and I don't mean alcohol. Anyway, just an idea. |

Hmmm, someone at the meet said something about Malbu Grand Prix or something like that. Maybe we should look into that. Since Wind and its getting cold soon we should stop with the bbq's. Since most people already have meet and stuff we should start to have fun now. And Go Karting sounds like a good idea. Maybe if we get the same people as last meet the cost will go down to have the place for our selves.. what you think? Come on guys post up ideas. The Track Meet should be postponed til next year since everyone is kind of nervous with the rain. I am, don't want to run off the track. Peace

Can you find out stuff like group rates and having the whole place to ourselves for a day? I'm going to e-mail and ask Speedring also. From Speedring's FAQ: Is there a minimum age? Yes. At this time, the age limit is 18 with a valid drivers license. This is done to prevent generating a "hangout" for teenagers. There are also insurance reasons. |

Hey guys, i have been busy the past 2 days but here is the new info!
I got an Email back from Tommy at Speedtrial got some good news (i think). Here is the deal. the only date we will be up north will be the sears point raceway now called infineon raceway december 27-28,2002. normally our sears point is required to have a 2day event at ($375). however, it is a fairly large track and i can extend a one day to u guys. half of the 2 day price is $188. if u can bring all 25 or more guys to pariticpate, we will discount u all $18 making the total for the one day at $170. this is a chance to finally drive on this track for such a low price. have your guys think about it and let me know. if interested, ill arrange payement. So basicly 1 day at "Sears Point" for $170..... Thats seems pretty sweet to me. Let me know so I can work out the details with him. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

that sounds good to me.
ive got three people interested in coming, so my head count for the event would be 4. i also talked to my buddy, and he said that for 30 people, it was $180 each to rent out Thunderhill for the day, and that we should call and find out how from them. so there is another option, let me know if you want to do that, i'll email/call them

Well the SpeedTrial event should be pretty sweet. I am just putting together a list right now to make sure we have enough people, then I will Let Tommy at SpeedTrial know so we can work out the details and work out payment.
So Far this is my list. <table border="1" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="4"> <tr><th>Name</th><th># of People</th></tr> <tr><td>Me (Bill)</td><td align="center">2</td></tr> <tr><td>fodive</td><td align="center">4</td></tr> <tr><td>Cali240sxDrifter (Steven)</td><td align="center">1</td></tr> </table> Now let me know if you wantin so I can add you to the list. And since I dont know everyones name yet tell me so I can get that in the list as well. I will continue to update this list, so fell free to let me know how many people you think will be able to come. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
