RB with a NX16000 Digital Cluster (4 cyl tach)
Hey there Zilvia, nice to meetcha. I am in the process of acquiring a NX1600 digital cluster, to use in my s13. The only problem I am having trouble finding the answer to is how to make the 4 cylinder tachometer work with the 6 cylinder engine, as I understand that my rpms will show 33% higher than they truly are. I am working on getting a cluster from a 93 5 speed so I should be good in the speedometer department once I sort out which sensor to use, but the tach is the not so easy answer. I was hoping someone with greater knowledge of RBs and clusters/this cluster could help me figure out a solution to this.
I have been searching around for RPM converters and ways to adjust the tach on the cluster to no avail. I noticed there was a way to adjust some tachs by pulling off a casing on the back and manually adjusing, but am not sure if this is the case with the NX1600 tach. If none of you can solve my question I might have to shell up the cash and try to figure it out myself. |

just make it work. I recently wired in a pulsar cluster to my rb25 and it does work. my tach was about 500rpm off before the swap and is still now. just follow the walkthrough on here. I recommend if you have a digital hud you get a analog cluster harness
