hey thanks both you guys but i'm really really trying to not have to go SOHC...

just to update everyone i still haven't done anything with the car really...i need to pick up suspension and 5 lug and a kit (prolly gonna go with Origin) and then of course save up for a motor...i'd love to take this opportunity to go SR and actually have a decent car but we'll see...

u cna find na srs for dirt cheap if u want...theyre quicker than the stock ka and have a better powerband...i rode in one the other day and it made my stock ka look like shit

you've got the wrong idea and are definately misunderstanding...

i can put a SOHC motor in the car for now, which will make it drivable and such, but is pretty worthless for anything else and really no fun at all...when i said save up for a motor i meant a real motor...either a low mileage KA from an S14 to turbo or an SR that i can rebuild and make nice...both of which will be rather expensive....

i can get suspension (prolly used), kit (wholesale), etc for pretty cheap...so rather then just let the car sit in my driveway for 6 months while i try to save for a motor i might as well get it all prepped and ready and then when the motor drops in it will be done..

you see what i mean?

you can have the following parts if you need.
DOHC motor parts minus head
Energy suspension subframe inserts
5 speed tranny(please only if you need) shifts and drives really nice

hey hey hey...haven't been online much lately since i finally got a job and have been working crazy hours...Sears Automotive as a Service Writer..it's actually pretty cool and super easy since car stuff comes pretty naturally..

anyway, what i ended up doing was buying back an old car i had sold to a friend and then using some parts that were donated/traded/salvaged off the shell i got to get it running and back on the road...so i actually have my old blue s13 back now...210K miles on it and all...sohc still chuggin along...it's got super blown HKS coils on it (thanks to whomever traded me those for my nice wheels, jackass...too lazy to go look at PMs and call him out and whatever...the goodwill i was shown more than makes up for any bad bizz)...it's got steelies, half a kit that is held together with zipties, a leaky espiliar exhaust, and a s14 steering wheel with a gaping hole where the airbag used to be...lol...it's pretty much a beat ass POS...but it runs from point A to B...

the new plan: i actually got a job in Japan as a teacher so i'll be leaving the US in January hopefully...i'm really super excited about it...should be an amazing experience...hopefully i can pick up a car when i get there and i'm still planning on doing the everyone's name on a sticker thing when i have a car worthy of such a thing...

so yeah, everything is for sale shortly...right now i've got the red s13 hatch shell that Yuri hooked up me up with...i bought some of the parts it was missing and added some more of my own so it's just lacking a motor, tranny, harness, ECU, and clutch stuff...anyway, that's for sale and then the blue car will be as it gets closer to my departure date...and i've got some misc stuff like eibach/koni suspension for s14, corbeau seat, s13 trunk lid, blah blah...i need to make a for sale post but i want pictures of everything first...so yeah...that's pretty much it...

zilvia came through though...because of all you guys i was able to pay off the towing and disposal costs, get the red shell which i used parts of to get the blue car running, buy back the blue car, and you changed my entire outlook on this world...really an amazing experience for me even though it started out so horribly...

anyway, if anyone wants anything i have i'm selling it for exactly what it cost me to get it and not a penny more...just wouldn't be right, you know...

thanks again everyone and when i get to Japan i'll happily get people parts at no extra cost too...i owe all of you for a very very long time...
