F: 18x9.5 -10 225/40R18 federal -4 degrees camber R: 18x12 -14 245/40R18 federal -1.5 degrees camber The frontfenders are resting on the tires and it drift just fine like that. front and rear fenders are Bmagic 30mm front and 50mm rear bowed out. |

thanks man, its pretty much exactly the same setup im getting only on on 14, im off to look up how to 'bow' overfenders now thanks again! |

Weight is a HUGE factor. That is why race wheels are so expensive. Rotational mass is multiplied by 3. So lets say you have 20lb wheels. You Change to a set of 25lb wheels. You effectively gain 15lbs a corner. That is a total of 60lbs overall on the car. It is also said that for every 30lbs you add to a car, it will be a 10th of a second slower. So 2/10th slower over just 5lbs. So your 20lb TE37's compared to your 40lb steelies is around a second slower then the TE.

18x10 -1 seems a bit mild for 60mm (effective) overs. Did you not want to run much negative camber or something? I'm planning on 18x10 -7 on some 30mm's that are in the mail. I too, don't want to run a ridiculous amount of neg camber. Is this realistic? You're throwing me off with the 60's lol. |
