240sx 89-94 insurance rates?

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I was just wondering what insurance rates to expect if i were to insure a 240sx for liability only. I'm 17 years old and a new driver. Also i would be insured on a family plan. My dad was thinking about letting me buy a 240sx, but my mom says that insurance rates will be too high. If anymore information is required please ask.

Edit: I don't plan on buying one until after i turn 18 in December.

Why dont you have your dad call their insurance company and see how much more it would cost to add you under them?

No way, asking the ACTUAL Insurance Company involved is ridiculous!

Clearly, asking a group of complete strangers, from every corner of the globe, of varying ages, driving records, and insurance companies will give the most accurate information. I mean, if it's not from the intarwebz, it's not true!

Kid, listen to the rayzin on this one. Just have mommy or daddy call their provider and find out.

This thread is no longer necessary.
