Sr20det no spark problem, Help!
I recently swapped in an sr20 and got it running fine, except one day it just wouldn't start. I can hear the fuel pump prime and what not I just don't get spark! I used a multimeter to check power and have power through out harness: 12 volts all around (including coil packs). I have already replaced the CAS suspecting it would be that, but it wasn't.
It makes no sense that it just wouldn't start one day! My driver side harness that runs along the fender is a bit scuffed from the wheel hitting it, but are there any main wires that would prevent my engine to spark on that harness? I can't think of what could be wrong, I have taken out both harnesses and cleaned up the wiring and checked every ground. Note: My car always sounds a bit weak to start. it seems to drain new batteries quickly as well. |

So assuming it would would either be cas or ignitor chip, it turned out that I did have spark but it was very weak spark. My timing was way off, my alternator was shorting out because the power was grounded because i didn't have the red plastic piece I just found out I needed.
