Wiring mess
Hey Guys! Longtime reader, first time poster. Just bought a SR20 swapped S13 2 months ago. Turbo was leaking so I replaced it over the weekend. Went to start the car back up and heard an audible pop from the right front fuse block. Car now just clicks and the lights flash, Took the cover off the fuse block and found a awesome mess staring back at me.
The relay with the wires coming out was hot to the touch. Have you guys ever seen a setup like this before? Looks like a fire waiting to happen... Thanks guys |

Yup. I bought a manual converted Super HICAS and it looked worse than that. Make sure your gauges of wiring are correct and connections (especially ground) are clean. I also checked every molested wire, to make sure it was in the right place. If you still have hot wires, then you’ll need to start checking resistance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If the contacts are loose it will cause arcing which makes a lot of heat. I just went through this on my brothers fuel pump relay and my headlight bulb. Might want to check for loose connections because it sure looks like this was hacked together by a Somali pirate on Christmas eve.
