this is what i had. s-13 black top. i droped a valve which basicaly took out the head and block. basicaly the motor is roached. my question becomes weather or not to replace it with another det or just gut a rwd de. i know the compresion is higher, but how much higher im tol either 9.5 or 10:1.
i plan on changing the cams, springs, and using rocker arm stopers, retainer etc. so this does not happen again.
if tuned well how much power can the stock de botom end hold. piston oil squirters are great but how much do they help?
im told the rods and crank are the same i can change the oil pump to a turbo model. ive her of sentras puting 427 to the wheels stock botom end.

im not too sure i guess too much rev limiter bouncing. my car stays side ways. the one day i go drag racing second run i herd rattling, loud rattling i coasted off the track and there was a hole in valve cover. part of the rocker arm shot out. ( may be over rev?) if i had rocker arm stoppers this probaly would not have happened. everything would have been fine had just the arms broken but one of the valve retainers broke too causing the valve to drop.

thanks for the heads up but that is an s-14 block and it said it was tested bad. i guessing as in bad compression.
