Beems S14 build up
Hey guys, been on here for a long time. ive had my S14 since i was 16 and learned all the ways to not build a car. i decided to restart from the ground up and do a total teardown for the 2013 season. i am long into the build and i am doing 95% of the work myself so its hard to take pictures of everything but ill do my best. this car will be my track slut! ill shut up and get onto the pictures
i bought the car bone stock this picture was about a year ago. it was a stock sr20 with a holset, coils, and rotas. i thought i was the coolest kid in town. i dynod it and it put out 300rwhp i had a lot of ebay/cheap parts. i started working for a performance shop and realized how wrong i was doing things. i got rid of all the cheap parts and bought nice things full origin stylish type2 widebody test fitted some things yanked the sr out and sold it. cut out the stock metal for bath tubs got a precission 5558 billet wheel Skipped some pictures sorry! fully built sr almost done should be a blast, i powder coated a lot of my parts sparkle purple and got the turbofab manifold coated brought the car to my shop stripped everything down stripped down. primered and painted got the rear one stripped down and cut out the bsuhings cleaned up the diff really good and got her all painted up nice like did the steeringrack too and put in ES bushings did up the axles as well rub a dub dub time for some tubs filling in all the holes and getting ready for stich welding getting there still have to cut down the lip and such but pretty much done thats basically where i stand as of last night. wish i had more detailed pictures of the process but between building this myself and doing customers its a lot to do! i will try and keep this updated as much as i can

nothing too exciting. i used the hydraulic press and got the stance solid subframe bushings in, went in like butter with a press. i test fitted the subframe so i can make the boxed in braces for it. then ill redrop it and finish stitch welding/undercoating!
also picked up a plasma cutter so i can easily get the passanger side tub done and make life easy
