I Have a Proposition
Are you currently bored with your polished turd of a 240?
Is dorifto-ing on the streets and at WSIR just not cutting it for you? I have an idea, and depending who signs on, could be potentially awesome. I already have people in mind, but location is the biggest factor. We build the Zilvia Rally 240sx. Compete in the local Rally events. If there is enough interest I will put something of a build/driver team together. What "we" would need potentially to make this happen: Basically anyone who gives to the cause would be forever immortalized via sticker and vinyl which would be bestowed upon the car when it is ready for the dirt. Ideas, people, everything is welcome. This site needs livening up. What could be better than smashing the shit out of a 240 in the dirt to wane away your fears of a collapsing economy? Just a thought. If not, well... fuck you and fuck me.

Add Welder/Cage builder to that list
And a shit load of sheet metal for a full body undertray and other sand/dirt gaurds. Good idea and would be pretty badass to see happen, but it'll definatly need alot of community support. Could Zilvia pull it off? We'll see. I know theres a guy in northern Ontario or quebec that rally's his S13 competitevly. Maybe I can see what kind of suspension setup hes running.

Battle Plan = Cheap is great, free is better.
Suspension could be the real killer here, I am not too up to speed on what exactly a rally car would need in the ways of such. I have recently fallen in love with driving in el dirt, so I had some inspiration.

Big fat dirt tires and balls.
I don't care how good it is, it's just the fact that we COULD do it. I'm sure if we put our heads together we can figure out something.

Those pale in comparison to how awesome the Zilvia Rally 240 would be.
Mad Max meets WRC of the 80's and has a drunken one night stand with Nascar.

this would be a great project to work on/see. I did rally a bit back in a day as a hobby, so maybe i can bring something to the table.
by the way if you gonna run dirt, you might want to put really good and powerful shocks, with a good travel. there will be a lot of cutting and welding to do. this is gonna be a sick car and i hope it turns out great! |

I think its a great idea.

The more I think about the funner it sounds but how competitive would it be. Even if you were to throw in a gtr trans for awd I still don't know.

already did it
twice! rallying a 240sx is fucking fun as shit! I would like to build a rally 240sx one day with true 4x4 stance with 16's with mud tires and a 1way diff.
