audio/video guys....
i am trying to put in an indash video monitor and seperate dvd player, just need to know exactly what to hook up the park brake video lockout wire to. its a clarion vrx610, and it says in the manual that this wire needs to reach a ground to show video. im guessing its by the p brake handle but dont want to go cutting into wires and f up the wiring. any help would be appreciated. thanks

the ground is to prevent you from driving and watching video, all you need to do to disable that is ground it to any part of the chassis..... it doesn't need to be the e-brake.
trust me I install these things.

The only people who ever install those properly (with the ground on a parking brake) are stereo shops.. because they're required to (for insurance liability reasons)
99% of self-installers don't do that.. |
