So my KTS coilovers are REALLY BOUNCY not leaking or anything.

and i was able to get a pic of the setup while it was jacked up so this pic is in the air.

I circled the gap between the top of the spring and the top metal part.

Its about 3/4 Inch - 1 Inch.

Is this not enough preload causing my ride to be so harsh ?

I think the spring should be tightened down just enough to where you can't turn it by hand

Edit: and there should only be one locking collar against the bottom coil mount. The other two should be tightened against eachother against the spring. You should be able to hand spin the top most collar against the spring until the spring can't spin by hand. Then tighten the collar bellow it to the top collar while holding the top collar in place.
