S13 build + knuckle mod
My coupe is turning more and more into a drift car. Started off as a pretty stripped down coupe with an awesome ka into what it will become now a fully stitch welded SRpowa car. I plan to attented as my events as posible in the 09' season with either the s13 or FD. This thread will be full of pics of things that I will be doing on this car.
NAkA the dirty SR. My s14 knuckle mod. Ackerman angle has not been effected from my measurements. I'm ruffly getting 50* +/- 2* at full lock. I have not tested these yet, but should be fun once I finish the engine install. I also welded the FLCA's and used FD inner tierods.

The knuckles are s14 spindles modded to fit the s13 coupe. Back in the day this was the only 5 lug swap available for the 240 4 lug. I've drifting for about 2 years now and last year I decided to get sort of serious. Well after drifting my FD at a couple events I quickly found that MOAR angle was needed. I have carefully measured and cut the OEM spindle to bring in the mounting point of the tierod and I also tried to minimize added bumpsteer. I also paid attention to the ackerman point everyone worries about. The inner and outer tires at full lock measure 50* +/- 2* according to my garage measurements. The spindles where pre-heated and cooled down very slowly. My welder has 30+ years welding boats at a shipyard and knows what he is doing. I have know doubt these spindles will perform to the fullest giving me that stoopid angle the FD guys are getting. Testing: Havent had a change to test them due to my car not being done and the frosty weather on the eastcoast. I will be testing these in the next month.
