A fuel leak is kind of a big deal. I wouldnt even try to start the car until you have that problem solved. Poor fuel pressure would keep the car from running. If the leak is bad enough as soon as it starts and gets vacuum it will open the fpr and all the pressure will be lossed. Does the car stay running if you open the throttle or just die. Does the fuel pump stay on after the prime?
