I've been meaning to make a thread for my girl's new project, but we haven't had the time. I'll try to keep it short, post pictures, and links to her videos below.

Basically, she got this BARE coupe shell for free from Max (CleanAndLegit) in November 2011. Within the first month, we got all the body work done and painted at home. Next, we pieced together all the interior, suspension (Stance coilovers, 5-lug), and parts for her motor rebuild.

We pulled a few all-nighters to put together the motor and finally dropped it in last weekend. Now, we just have to finish painting her front end and the rest of the kit.

Our goal is to get most of it done for Formula Drift in Long Beach.. Other mods and upgrades will come as soon as she saves up. Eventually, she'll be learning to drift in this car. We'll keep you updated as the car comes along. Enjoy.

Engine bay is done! The color is called "Artic White".

Interior is almost complete. Just need a nice dash.

Goodbye stock suspension! Picked up these Stance coils from Zach as well.

Test fitting my AME TM02's on her car. Got the DMAX style hood from a guy on Zilvia.

New wheels! They're custom MB Drifters without the holes.

Test fitting the BN kit on my vert. ;]

Rescued this puppy on the way to the bank. >_<

New goodies for me & her.

Three rebuilds coming soon!

Ali's Machine Shop in Signal Hill. Dropped it off Monday. Got it back on the same Friday.

Spent a whole weekend putting her motor back together.

Plasti gauging all the bearings.

Sup! Our good friend Jeremy helping with engine assembly.

All clearances good. Crank installed.

Checking the thrust clearance.

Installing the stupid clip.

Dropping the pistons and rods into their bores.

Torqued and cleaned!

ARP head studs and Felpro head gasket installed.

Head, 248/248 cams, and timing chain installed.

My 350z clutch on the left. Thao's baby clutch on the right.

She's ready!

Mating the transmission.

Powertrain in, ready to go. Brakes and clutch bled.

Intake manifold installed.

Installing new lower control arms and PBM tension rods from Jeremy.

Whoop there she is.

All we have left to do is prep and paint the front end and kit.

Aerocatch install.

That's how she stands for now. Hopefully finishing up the kit and front end by the end of this week.

Good job Matt, hope she enjoys the car as much I enjoyed watching the vids and seeing the process of this build. Hopefully once im done with my build we can all chill.

haha on the third vid, I don't think i've ever seen anybody pull the throttle cable through vents on a hood...that's pimp! pretty happy this car went to a good home.

Harbor freight gun and 5 gallon compressor.. it's small.. but with some skill, it can get the job done nicely.

Nice build, but do yourself and her a favor and take that fram filter off. I've had 2 come apart and toss mesh outside the hole into the motor.
