R33 q45 diff question
Is the r33 gtst outputs and shafts the same as the larger z32tt and q45 outputs and shaft? i have done a bunch o research and I'm getting a lot of mixed answers can someone clarify I'm wanting to get the largest outputs and shafts on my s14 with the r200 diff

97-98 jdm kouki diffs are the exact same as q45 diffs. you can use a clutch type no problem with the big stubs + axles and have any r&p ratio you want

No, helical S15 diffs are completely different. The idea is to use the big z32TT and q45 axles... you do this with a S14 JDM silvia diff from 97-98 koukis

Just search it a little bit so your saying that the large 6 bolt outputs will pop into the jdm s14 chunk? The 6 bolt large outputs I'm trying to use are 30 spline count

This might help clear up the confusion. First break it down so it makes more sense. So in order to get what you want, you would run something similar to mine. Here is how I did it piece by piece. 1. S14 240sx non-abs housing out of my 97 240. (S13 will be the same minus cover) 2. JDM S14 silvia 97 up 30 spline rear clutch type diff (for viscous) which is same as Q45 and maybe R33 GTS but those might be the smaller spline, usually only GTR had big spline... 3. 4.636 ring and pinion out of an xterra front diff 4. Q45 output shafts 5. LH axles from Q45 and Z32TT 6. z32TT hubs. Boom. No driveshaft mod bullshit or shitty long gearing. Q45 diffs are a waste, only thing I'd take from them are the output shafts. |

Thanks for the info that's helps a lot! The only reason I threw a r33 gtst in the mix is because I can get one for a pretty good deal . I plan on making 6-800 hp with a 2jz swap any difference on vlsd and clutch type for that kind of power

New Nismo GT clsd's also use the larger 30-spline and come with their own stubs since they aren't the vlsd type stubs.
Afaik the current Nismo diffs use the same stubs as the R32 GT-R... but are available in multiple bolt patterns, not just 6x1 |

G50 Q45 vlsd are also 30 spline just like the '97+ s14 silvia vlsd so they are hardly a waste.
