KA Bog/hesitation on shift

Have a '91 240sx with no codes and pass emissions very clean. Car pulls 23 inHg vacuum at idle. Everything seems to be in check and tuned up with new parts.

Here's the scenario...when I shift (especially when the engine is cold) the car hesitates for almost a full second before it will start chugging along. This happens in all gear but not necessarily all the time.

Any ideas?

Buy some throttle body cleaner. Remove the intake piping on the TB. Spray it down, if you have a brush (a gentle one) use that to get some of the gunk off. Spray it down some more. Adjust the cable tension. Start car and clear out the cleaner (rev it). Adjust idle. Took me like 10 min. and my car runs a lot smoother now. But the damn thing still has a little trouble because my tranny mount is torn and the engine mounts are old too.

My throttle body is clean, as well as the intake tract. I took the intake manifold off last year and cleaned the hell out of it.

Today I'm going to swap CAS, TPS, clean spark plugs, and check cam timing. I'll let you know how that goes.
