Car Wont Start . Ecu code 21 . 34 . New motor :(!
OK so basically i had a 92 240sx automatic. The motor blew about a year ago and finally i have started working on the car.
First step was to remove the automatic transmission and replace with manual. i got a stainless steel clutch filine. new slave and master cylinder along with 90 5-speed tranny. I also had to replace the engine , obvioulsy, and i got a junk yard motor that had good compression of 180- 185 across cylinders. I installed into my 240 and had gotten it started fine. I had the motor started fine until it overheated. basically an issue with the air bubbles in the radiator system. so i begin to remove these damn bubbles when suddenly my motor starts "running out of gas" it eventually dies. just cranks. i refilled the gas - it wasn't the problem. the motor still cranks but doesn't turn. i checked the fuel system. and fuel reaches the injectors. i replaced the coil and wires but still dont have spark. my dizzy cap seems fine. i have a replacement dizzy and and cap , wires and rotor. finally i checked my ecu and code 21 and 34.. i'm assuming i damaged the knock sensor , but code 21 seems to be the reason no spark to start my motor. everything seems fine in wiring. the fuses seem fine. i dont know what else to check... please if i dont get my car moved by sunday they want to tow it. i need to finish asap. beers in the sfv to get this problem solved...... thanks |

it was the igniter chip. 100 bucks from autozone with a lifetime warranty. i hope that bull-**** is over. now to making sure there isn't anymore air bubbles in the cooling system. The culprit of what helped find the igniter trouble.
