The stock ones are yellow.

Are you talking like fog lights?

^Any proof? Cause s2000 have a blueish tint to the headlights stock. Denali's have a purplish. BMW's have blue look but that is because of the cut off and they're actually 4100k. Same for Audi's and such. Also cars come with fog lights, which are not the same as driving lights, on a lot of cars.

Over hear you just can't run FLASHING red, white, or blue without a red light licence. So people won't mistake your for an emergency vehicle.

in the BMW world, they generally dont use yellow bulbs. they use yellow laminex to cover the headlight housing. its known as "frenching" your headlights. or "frenched" fogs. IMO, frenched headlights looks good if you dont have amber corner lights. otherwise, only fog lights look good. im basing this all off the look of the E36 M3 i ALMOST bought..

frenching is a body term used for a custom recessing of a body element putting some yellow shit on your headlights is not called frenching

I am basing this on the frenched antennas and headlights my buddy and I did on his 56 merc

My brother had them on his EG.
Looked good. A lot better visibility in dark or rain/snow.

What amazes me is that they put JDM in front of everything now and charge you extra. Yep pay 5bux more to be JDM yellow!!!

its also oldschool for moulding fenders, bumpers, etc. hey man, i hung out in a few BMW forums. they would refer to yellow headlights and fogs as "frenched".

EDIT: but if you still insist i made it up, here you go.

French High Beams

more?

another?

just to make it clear, i did not "falsify" this word. i simply had prior knowlege of what this word means to different people.

to be honest.. i dont.. but my buddy got a ticket for his headlights.. that blusih tint you see.. is from the projector... my dads bmw M5 has it as well as well as other HIDs projectors.. www.HIDforums.com to learn more..

It's the color of the light on the ground(the output) not the color of the projector is what they should look for. If a cop pulls you over and says your headlights aren't white ask him to stick his hand in the beam and see that it is white.

That's what I was trying to say without rewriting my post in another thread. Qt didn't get what I was saying. The cut off is what makes it appear blue to the oncoming driver that's why when you see a car with those and it goes over a bump it flickers. When you look on the ground you see pure white light.
