Q45 rear brakes on s13??

so on my car i have front q45 brakes up front and stock rear with steel lines all the way around. car stops incredible... but this weekend i was at the junkyard and was scoping out the rear brakes with drums a couple of q45 cars were there. they almost look the same as z32 except they have a sliding caliper. does anyone know or have done this swap on a s13/14??? any info is helpful...

m30, z32, and s13s all share the same ebrake set-up and rear drum/rotor inner diamater. not too sure about the j30 but, if it has a drum set-up then most likely it would be the same also. m30 cables wont bolt-up to an s13 but im not too sure about q45 though.

i dont know if the rotor is the same (caliper mating surface) but the drum is the same, you can use all parts, except the cables, use z32 for s-13 and r-33 for s-14

Same parts as the Z32. Direct swap over. The hub though does NOT work.

WHAT???

Z-32 uses drum for ebrake, S-13 does NOT

J-30 also uses internal drum But upright is different and e-brake cable is also mounted differntly, if you want to use this set-up IIRC u have to use entire upright

cool!! since everything bolts up from a Q45, im pretty sure that the stock s13 calipers wont work. (duh!) so will i be able to use the Q45 rear calipers for now?? then later i can upgrade to z32 rear calipers right? what do i do about the e brake cable? have one made right?

Yes. Use the Q45 rotors/calipers. Use the Q45 hardware for the ebrake and use a Z32 or R33 cable, or cut/splice the Q45s.
