hey guys i was just wondering what you would do in a similiar situation... (most will think im dumb but i just want to know)

alright well my beautiful and wonderful girl is very well off... she might get new rims for x-mas. my problem is that i've never really bought her anything but she wants to give me her rims (evo 17 x 7 wrapped in sumo tires)for x-mas among some other stuff... im buying her one thing (about $150 value) if i let her sell the rims she can get more stuff for her self. do you guys think that i should take the rims or have some pride and let her sell them?

haha... im exactly thinking what you guys are both thinking... haaa, what am i to do... see cried last night cause i refused to let her give them to me when she got new ones.

oh yeah that car was bought like that as a gift... it was a bday present... new from factory (package: sunroof, carbon fiber vinyl seats, doors, and dash, audio...etc.) to a body shop and than to her drive way... a $30k civic... thats alittle over priced to me. oh yeah did i forget to mention her uncle payed it cash. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':huh:'>

I think you should take the rims if you like them.  you said she cried when you refuse to take them, so she'll be happy if you take them. Another thing, you should make an effort to get her something better than $150 gift.

You are asking the wrong people in this situation, get a girls input. This situation seems like one of those issues where its  not the money, but the thought. She would be happier if you kept the rims. If you don't take them she is going to think they are a bad gift, or you could tell her they won't fit, say something like your getting Z brakes soon, and they won't clear, or say the bolt pattern doesn't match up. Then sell them and get her some roses, chocalates, and a necklace, and a 3 pack of jimmy hats, and hopefully you can take it from there. Or be greedy and sell them and get yourself a new pait of rims.

Here's the thing,  if she has money and she REALLY cares about YOU then the difference in gift prices WON'T matter to her.  She probably already knows that you may or may not be able to buy her things but she probably doesn't care.  She should be with you for other reasons and in that case then.....if she wants to give you the rims then let her.  It would be different if she was buying them for you, but instead she is making a loving gesture that could be concieved as rude if you said no! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':blush:'> just a thought.

make sure she's cool with it though, don't make it a big deal but ask her so she knows u're not trying to sell them to make money.  and when u get the gift(s) for her make sure u use most/all of the money on her and make it something u know she'll like a lot.

Or just go to any third world country, and hopefully you have an american accent, and say your visitiing for the week. And stay for longer and buy some stuff from japan (don't pick too poor of a 3rd world country) then leave the girl and bring all the stuff you got to america then leave when they arrive safely.

and as for you sanmiam i was fortunately blessed by meeting her. one day i was just talking to one of my friends online and he was in a chat told me to come check it out. i was looking through profiles and she imed me. from there the rest is history.

To make this a win-win situation just tell her that they won't fit, and the best part is....you won't be lying, that civic is a 4x100 and yours is a 4x114, if they are universal then you could(I wouldn't)lie and tell her that the offset is wrong and they won't work.  I personally don't like lying to my girlfriend about anything even as small as that but it's a suggestion.
